Production has halted again at Libya’s Sharara field due to a pipeline blockade, Reuters reports.
According to Reuters’ sources, production has been shut down since Saturday.
The pipeline was blocked by a militant group, the Zintan Brigade, Platts reports, and, on Sunday, the National Oil Company (NOC) declared force majeure on oil shipments from the site.
The Sharara Oilfield, Libya’s largest, has been plagued by insecurity and disruptions this month, Egypt Oil & Gas reported.
