Thailand’s PTTEP Sell Oman 44 to ARA Petroleum

Thailand's largest oil and gas explorer, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), will sell 100% stake of Oman 44 natural gas project to local firm ARA Petroleum LLC. The deal is expected to close in early fourth quarter of 2016.
Thailand Denies Reports of Thai Canal, Contemplates Oil Pipeline

A deputy prime minister of Thailand has denied reports that Bangkok and Beijing have reached an agreement to develop the Thai Canal across the Kra isthmus, calling the project "stupid" and revealing that the country is now contemplating an oil pipeline that will not require consultation with China, reports Hong Kong newspaper Ming Pao.

Thailand's largest energy firm PTT PCL is keen to sell a 25% stake in Egyptian gas pipeline company East Mediterranean Gas (EMG), which has stopped operations in recent years, chief financial officer Wirat Uanarumit said on Thursday.
