Mexico Expands Offshore, Onshore Production via International Companies

Italian ENI has signed its production-sharing contract for oil and gas production in the Bay of Campeche offshore Mexico. Mexican government announced it would tender 25 onshore oil and gas fields in mid-December.
US to Offer Over 41 Million Exploration Acres in Gulf of Mexico

As part of the Obama Administration’s all-of-the-above energy strategy to continue to expand safe and responsible domestic energy production, Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Director Abigail Ross Hopper today announced that Interior will offer 41.2 million acres for oil and gas exploration and development in the Gulf of Mexico in a March lease sale.
Shell’s Mars B Project Expands Gulf of Mexico Presence

Shell's Mars B project, located in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, produced first oil in the first quarter of this year. It is the first time that significant infrastructure has been added to an existing deepwater field in the Gulf, says Shell.
