Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta, said that Tullow Oil Plc will drill eight additional exploration wells in the country’s North Lokichar region. Exports will commence three months later, with the crude being transported by road to the Indian Ocean port city of Mombasa.

Kenya’s Energy and Petroleum Minister, Charles Keter, stated that the government and its upstream partners, Tullow Oil, Africa Oil and Maersk Companies, have concluded a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) for the development of a crude oil pipeline.
Kenya to Start Oil Production from Turkana Discovery

Kenya is set to start the development and commercialization of the deposits from oil discovered in Turkana county as the cabinet approved the transportation of up to 4,000b/d by road and rail from northwest Kenya to the port city of Mombasa for refining.
