Engie, Nareva Ink Energy Projects in North, West Africa

French energy firm Engie announced in a statement that it has signed a MoU with Moroccan Nareva Holding to develop new energy projects in north and west Africa including Egypt, Ivory Coast, and Senegal.
France Studying to Ban Imports of US Shale Gas

French Energy Minister, Segolene Royal, said she is investigating legal means to ban the import of shale gas from the United States because France has banned shale gas exploration using hydraulic fracking for environmental reasons.
Engie Ordered to Raise Prices

Following a complaint by rival Direct Energie, the French competition authority has ordered Engie to raise its natural gas prices for companies, saying that in some cases the utility was engaging in “predatory pricing” to the detriment of competitors.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) from the World Bank group would provide a trade finance credit of up to $200m to Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz for it to acquire natural gas from France's Engie.
