El Molla visited the project of the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) annd the refinery of the Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC) in Mostorod.
ERC has completed more than 92% of its main project, noting that the company is one of the most important energy producers in Egypt.
Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, chaired the general assemblies of Petroleum Gas (Petrogas) and Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC).
El Molla emphasized the importance of improving oil and gas companies in order to increase their productivity to cover local demand of petroleum derivatives specially butane, diesel and benzine.
Egyptian firms are planning to expand their refining capacity and boost output of petroleum products, companies' representatives stated at the Thirds Annual Energy Conference - Energy and Sustainable Development.
