Iran’s Oil Export Doubles to 3.8mb/d

Iranian Ministry of Petroleum announced that the country's crude oil exports have doubled crossing the level of 3.8mb/d with over 2m barrels being exported to foreign destinations, since Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani, took office in 2013.

Iran is expected to add 500,000b/d of oil supply within a year from its existing oilfields, but developing new fields would take time, the Head of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Fatih Birol, said.
