Egyptian Oil Flows from EPT in Excess of 2,500 Barrels Per Day

Extended production tests of the successful exploration wells in Abu Sennan, Egypt, commenced last week. The tests will continue for 6 months and to date have yielded a combined flow rate of up to 2,524 barrels of oil per day, with associated gas.

Kuwait Energy plc and their main partner, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), today announced a new oil discovery, the El Salmiya-1 well, in the Abu Sennan concession located in the Western Desert in Egypt.

Kuwait Energy plc, one of the fastest growing independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in the Middle East, announced that it has made an oil well discovery in the Western Desert in Egypt. The new well is named Al Jahraa-1X and is located in the Abu Sennan exploration concession where Kuwait Energy is the operator and holds a 50% working interest.
