Naftogaz reports increased crude oil yields from Egypt deposits

Naftogaz

Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrayiny produced 113,000 barrels of crude oil from deposits in Egypt in the second quarter of 2012, up 10.8% from 102,000 barrels in the first quarter, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry said in a statement Friday.

Naftogaz, which started oil production in Egypt at the Alam El-Shawish East block in April 2010, had extracted a total of about 900,000 barrels of oil from the deposit.

The project is Naftogaz’s first overseas hydrocarbon extraction project ever.
