Egypt eyeing more British investments

Egypt eyeing more British investments

Dominic Asquith, Britain's ambassador in Cairo, said that his country's investments in Egypt are estimated over than $20 billion, flowing into the Egyptian market through British companies operating in the energy sector such as BG and Shell.

“We are encouraged by Egypt’s current economic climate” commented Asquith, as he anticipated more British investments into Egypt.

That came during the awards ceremony of Shell’s “breakthrough” competition. Asquith stressed on the importance of the joint collaboration between the two countries due to Egypt’s significant influence and spot within the region and the Middle East.
